Arm sleeves protect your skin from the sun on outdoor courts, keep your arms warm on cool days, wick sweat away from your hand and grip, and add light compression that many players find supportive during long sessions. Compression sleeves keep the forearm and elbow warm and provide light support, which some players find comfortable when dealing with elbow soreness. They aren't a treatment, though.
